Cyberpunk 2077 Update Adds New Mode That Pretty Much No One Can Play
Cyberpunk 2077’s Overdrive mode is now available, and if you have the right hardware, you’ll be able to experience a technology preview that pushes the boundaries of what current hardware is capable of. You’ll need to own one of the latest–and expensive–Nvidia 40-series graphics cards to get Overdrive Mode working on your PC, but if you have it, expect a really, really ridiculously good-looking version of Cyberpunk 2077.
If you’re still stuck in last-gen, there is some good news here as CD Projekt Red says that a measly GeForce RTX 3090 GPU can run Overdrive Mode, but at 1080p and 30fps. Alternatively, CDPR has enabled the mode on older hardware, but with a neat twist. Ray-tracing-capable PC graphics cards with at least 8GB VRAM will be capable of rendering path-traced screenshots in Photo Mode. This is possible because it means that these GPUs just need to render one frame, as opposed to rendering several frames every second when playing the game.

Life Is Strange Creator Is Now A Third-Party Publisher, Too
The French game developer Dontnod, which created the Life is Strange series, is growing its reach and becoming a third-party publisher. Dontnod announced this week that it will publish developer PortaPlay’s new game as a co-production effort. Under the terms of the deal, Dontnod will hold the “majority rights” of this new IP.
The Copenhagen-based PortaPlay is making an “original creation.” Little is known in the way of specifics, but Dontnod said the game “fits with the editorial vision and values of Dontnod.” It added: “These values federate a broad audience and resonate with our very committed community of gamers around the world.”
Dontnod’s publishing and marketing department was established in 2020, but this seems to be the first game that the company is taking on as a publisher.
“With this first partnership, Dontnod will provide to PortaPlay its know-how and experience acquired with its previous titles, in order to support this future creation in its developme…
Like A Dragon- Infinite Wealth Release Date Set For January 2024
Sega has confirmed that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will officially launch on January 26, 2024, for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The direct sequel to the seventh mainline game in the series before its renaming made things slightly confusing, Like a Dragon once again stars former Yakuza Ichiban Kasuga as he heads to Hawaii to search for his long-lost mother. Kasuga won’t be alone in his mission, as he’ll be joined by longtime Like a Dragon protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, whose days might finally be numbered after he reveals that he has been diagnosed with cancer.
With a limited number of days left, Kiryu aims to help Kasuga find his mother so that he can atone for the sins of his past. The only catch here is that local gangs are out in force and are also hunting for Kasuga’s mother. Like Yakuza 7, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth uses an RPG battle system inspired by Kasuga’s love of Dragon Quest, which developer Ryu Ga Gotoku says has been refined to be mor…
Lost Ark- Here's The Latest On Server Queues; Free DLC Announced For Everyone
Smilegate’s newly released PC game Lost Ark is flying high right now and breaking records. It’s so popular that the game continues to have server queues, which isn’t an ideal situation for players who want to jump in and play as quickly as possible. Thankfully, Smilegate has now said it’s working “as quickly as possible” to spin up a new server region in Europe to accommodate players in that part of the world.
In a blog post, Smilegate said it’s been “blown away” by the volume of players who have jumped into Lost Ark since the game was released widely on February 11. To help get players into the game faster, Smilegate said it’s working around the clock to add the new European servers.

Magic- The Gathering Lord Of The Rings- Tales Of Middle-earth Full Reveal- See The New Cards
After MagicCon Minneapolis earlier this month gave a few small teases about the upcoming set, this week’s WeeklyMTG livestream saw Wizards Of The Coast drop a motherlode of information on Magic: The Gathering’s upcoming Lord Of The Rings: Tales Of Middle-earth set, with over 120 cards and card variants revealed.
The reveal showed 126 cards in total, with every Magic: The Gathering color and card type represented. The only new mechanic coming from this set is The Ring Tempts You, where a creature becomes the Ring-Bearer and gains abilities whenever a card includes that line of text. However, two other mechanics from Magic’s past will feature in the set as well:
- Amass, which lets a player create a creature token and power it up every time a card reads “Amass X.” In LOTR’s case, players will amass Orc Army tokens.
- Sagas, which are enchantments that have one action when the enter the battlefield, and then during the contro…
